Tennis Courts Gundadalur

Several courts are needed to host the more than 200 tennis matches that will be played during the Betri Island Games. As a result, tennis will take place at multiple venues across the country – both indoor and outdoor.

There are two outdoor courts in Gundadalur (Tórshavn). However, these two outdoor courts are not enough to accommodate the full tennis schedule, which is typically extensive at the Island Games.

In addition, the weather in the Faroe Islands is highly unpredictable, so indoor courts are also required. These will be equipped with temporary tennis flooring suitable for competition.

Tennis is a large-scale sport at the Games, and the demand for courts is high. In total, six courts will be available:

Gundadalur (two outdoor courts)
Gundadalshøllin (indoor)
Kollafjørður Sports Hall (indoor)
Skála Sports Hall (indoor)
Sandoy Sports Hall (indoor)
