Sport Arena Klaksvík
The KÍ Sports Hall and the Badminton Sports Hall in Klaksvík are the venues for the indoor volleyball competitions for both men and women.
The two sports halls are directly connected, allowing players and spectators to move between them without going outside. They form part of a larger sports complex that also includes a swimming pool, wellness facilities, an athletics track, and a football pitch.
The KÍ Hall was originally completed in 1969. Over the years it has been renovated several times. Most recently, the hall has been upgraded with a new floor, movable spectator stands, a new social area, and an extended playing surface. Today, it offers seating for 500 spectators.
The Badminton Hall is much newer, having been completed in 2007. It is a spacious, bright facility with a generous playing area, 850 seats, and a balcony on one side that provides additional standing room.
When the Faroe Islands last hosted the Island Games in 1989, the volleyball competition was held in the KÍ Sports Hall.
