The range includes two skeet layouts, a combined Olympic Trap/Automatic Ball Trap layout (OT/ABT) and a new purpose-built clubhouse.

Further improvements are being made to ensure a top-quality shooting experience for all participants.

Useful Information

The range will be open for public training in the days leading up to the Games. Prices and more details will be announced later.

Information about transport to and from Sandvík will be published closer to the Games.

Guidelines for transporting firearms and ammunition to the Faroe Islands will be made publicly available. The authorities are working to establish a clear and simple procedure.

Shooting in the Faroe Islands

The Faroese Shooting Association (Skjótisamband Føroya) was founded in 1997. It currently has four member clubs.

The Faroese Shooting Association is a member of both the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) and the European Shooting Confederation (ESC), which allows Faroese athletes to participate in all European Championship events on equal terms with other nations.

The first medal for the Faroe Islands at the Island Games came in 1993, when Finn Ludvig won bronze on the Isle of Wight. The first gold medal was claimed in 2013 by Marius F. Joensen in Bermuda.
