Pætur J. Petersen joins Betri Island Games as intern

On Monday 11 August, Pætur J. Petersen began his internship with the Betri Island Games as part of his two-year AP degree in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management at UCN in Aalborg, Denmark.

With around 1,200 volunteers needed for the Betri Island Games 2027 in the Faroe Islands, volunteer management is one of the event’s key focus areas.

Pætur’s work will centre on preparing for the recruitment and coordination of volunteers — a major task involving the definition and description of the many and varied roles they will take on.

Pætur’s programme combines online study with practical training, and his internship will run until the end of October, concluding with a final written assignment.
