Betri Island Games Unveil Mascot
27.03.2026
On Monday, 30 March, the public will finally get to meet the official mascot of the Betri Island Games. At the square in SMS, there will be music, the new mascot, and the talented individuals who designed, created, and named it.
Last fall, nearly 500 mascot ideas were submitted to the Betri Island Games as part of a drawing competition. From this impressive collection, a jury selected one mascot, which will now be presented to the people of the Faroe Islands.
If you have a moment to spare on Monday during the quiet week, stop by SMS. The mascot will be at the square and is eager to meet as many Faroese people as possible.
Filip, Bjarki, Jóhanna, and Anna Lovisa from Hoydalar will be performing. The mascot will also meet the people who drew, named, and created it for the first time, and the six partners of the Betri Island Games will be offering something delicious.
The event begins at 13:00.
